If bullying in schools is on your radar, then you have a lot of company. More and more schools are implementing anti-bullying programs as incidents of bullying is on the rise. And as our children get more and more technology savvy, episodes of cyberbullying are increasing as well. Teachers are concerned; parents are concerned. And for the 2.7 million students who will be bullied this year, it is a very real problem that impacts their attendance, performance, and their safety. I stumbled across a great site today that I wanted to share with anyone interested in learning more about bullying and what many school districts and other organizations are doing to prevent it. Check out Ron Graham’s site, The 24-Hour Bully Stake-Out Times. Graham has created a nonprofit outreach sharing current stories, news, and success stories designed to help with bullying problems for kids, parents, and educators.
Schoodoodle.com has a great selection of resources to help educators and parents deal with bullying and character education. If you have an anti-bullying program in your organization, tell us about it. We’d love to hear from you!
