Test Prep Relief: Standardized Test Preparation Products & Resources to Help Get Your Students Ready!
Utilize games and activities to make test prep fun!
It’s that time of the year again- teachers all over the country are faced with the task of preparing their students for upcoming state and national standardized assessment tests. Why do we use testing in our schools? I think this point in Parents’ Guide to Standardized Testing By Carolyn B. Bagin and Lawrence M. Rudner (2004) sums it up:
Educators use these standardized tests to tell how well school programs are succeeding or to give themselves a picture of the skills and abilities of today’s students……Standardized tests can help teachers and administrators make decisions regarding the instructional program. They help schools measure how students in a given class, school, or school system perform in relation to other students who take the same test. Using the results from these tests, teachers and administrators can evaluate the school system, a school program, or a particular student.
