What does a tricyle, a case of copy paper, a bus ride and a case of science fair project display boards have in common?
You could be lucky enough to receive one of these items for free. That is correct! Chicago School Supply is giving away the following educational prizes:
From Schoodoodle: A tricycle from Winther– the quality leader in child transportation. This is a classic tricycle in a brand new design. It is easy to move forward, trains the muscles, and develops motor skills.
From Office Supply Sanity: A Case of Copy Paper. You will be amazed at the quality and cost-savings of the Universal brand of office supplies.
From Teaching Safari: A FREE Bus Ride for Your Next School Tour- Enter to win the use of a school bus for up to five hours to get your group from school to their event. Bus may only be used for local travel within 25 miles of pick-up location. Contest only available for bus use within the Chicago area.
From Science Fair Sanity: A Case of Science Fair Project Display Boards. The corrugated boards feature sturdy construction, clean lines and tremendous value. In addition, we have designed the outer panels of all corrugated boards to overlap so students can handle them easily.
All entries must be received by August 1, 2009. Winner will be selected at random. No purchase necessary. Visit our contest page to enter!
Spring 2009 Winners
Norma Velazquez- Pilsen Community Academy – Chicago
This is my first year as a third grade bilingual teacher. During this year I had the opportunity to teach while advancing my own educational career. I am eager to continue learning new teaching strategies to better my students. It has been a challenge, but they say that the first year is the hardest.
While searching the net for new websites that cater to teachers, I stumbled upon Chicago School Supply. I was introduced to many great ideas on their Education BLOG and discovered many free projects to incorporate into my classroom. What I most enjoy about the Chicago School Supply’s website is its navigational simplicity. I plan on purchasing the Ant Hill kit for the 2009-2010 school year so my students can be introduced to an ant’s life cycle.
Edmee Cappas Velez- Inter-American School – Chicago
I am a Special Education teacher at Inter-American School, a dual language program that approaches education through the study of the America’s. I provide services for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade and with that said you can understand how time and resources is valued.
The Schoodoodle site is one of the many sites I am able to find free lesson plans that can be easily downloaded and adapted for my student’s and those I tutor. It’s a great feature and it has given me more time to spend with my students.
