Teach your students about penguins and cinquains at the same time. Explain that cinquains are poems that include “naming,” “describing,” and “doing” words. As a class, brainstorm a list of words to use. Then model an example similar to the following verse:
Waddling, swimming, feeding
Toboggan on their bellies
