The Common Core State Standards call for a better balance of literature and informational texts. The Nonfiction Reading Comprehension series and the Nonfiction Reading Comprehension: Informational Reading series enable teachers to expose students to a wide variety of high-interest, nonfiction articles while building a knowledge base in science and social studies.
