The New Year activities could be used the first day back to school. Discuss the term New Years Resolution with your students. Discuss with them how they might want to improve on something that they do at school such as improve printing, make work neater, get work done on time, study harder for tests etc. Have each student make up their own New Years Resolution. Have them complete the reproducible entitled Happy New Year. The other activity involves those matching words that begin with the word new to their meanings.
